Hibachi Joe goes to DC to feed the hungry [Gallery]
Hibachi Joe traveled to Washington DC intending to feed the troops who are serving the area. A week or so ago, Joe made a post about wanting to go up to DC after seeing some news reports about the soldiers being in parking garages, etc. When I saw that he was motivated to go serve our troops, I mentioned to him that if he does to please let me know and I would love to tag along for the trip to get some photographs and video footage. Long story short, we made the trip up there, and here are the photos I took of the time spent in DC. We were unable to link up with any troops or first responders, but we were able to set up at a homeless shelter area, DC Central Kitchen.
Joe, with the help of his chef friend, Chef Honeybees, served over 300 plates of hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, fried rice, and veggies!
I plan to create another blog post and video about the experience, but I wanted to get these photos out as soon as I could. I hope these images bring a smile to your face, motivated you to help someone, and simply adds some positivity to your day.
Also, it is my goal to this year to create more meaningful content through photos, videos, and written posts. If there is someone or an organization you think I should link up with to get some photos and videos of, please reach out to me. I would love to document more amazing people like Joe!
Again, more about my experience to come, but for now enjoy these photos.
If you would like to use these photos, please reach out and I can get you higher resolution images. I ask/require for photo credit to use my work. Thanks :-)
